Post-Care Instructions

Thank you for choosing AYVR Wellness. These steps help you get the most from your treatment and recover smoothly.

Immediately after your IV

  • Keep the Coban (compression wrap) on for at least 30 minutes after your IV is removed.
  • Apply gentle pressure to the site through the Coban for at least 30 minutes to help prevent bleeding and bruising.
  • Avoid heavy lifting or strenuous activity with the IV arm for the rest of the day if possible.
  • If minor bleeding occurs after removing the Coban, apply firm pressure for 5–10 minutes until it stops.

Stay hydrated

Continue drinking plenty of water throughout the day to help your body use the vitamins and stay hydrated.

What you may experience

Many people feel energized and refreshed afterward. It’s also normal to notice:

  • Mild soreness or bruising at the IV site
  • A small lump or tenderness where the IV was placed
  • Mild fatigue as your body processes the nutrients
  • Warmth or a vitamin taste during or shortly after the infusion

These are usually temporary and resolve within a few days.

When to contact our office

Please call us at 888-983-2496 if you experience:

  • Increasing pain, redness, warmth, or swelling at the IV site
  • Persistent bleeding that does not stop after firm pressure for 10 minutes
  • Fever or chills after your infusion
  • Persistent nausea, vomiting, dizziness, or symptoms that do not improve
  • Significant bruising or swelling around the IV site

Call 911 immediately if you experience

Serious reactions are rare, but seek emergency medical care right away if you develop:

  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
  • Chest pain or severe chest tightness
  • Severe dizziness, fainting, or loss of consciousness
  • A widespread rash, hives, or signs of a severe allergic reaction
  • Sudden confusion, difficulty speaking, weakness, or numbness on one side of the body
